The Elecraft K3 by Erik Kramer KE1V
Erik will review his experiences building his Elecraft K3 HF rig. He will cover the options he chose and why and his initial operating experiences in some recent contests. Some time will also be spent on his overall station setup and future plans.

Our Guest Speaker:
Erik earned his Technician and General licenses a few years ago and was licensed as KB1MIC. A couple of years ago, he earned his Amateur Extra and is now KE1V. His modest setup includes a small tower in the back yard and he is interested in DIY activities and contesting. Erik until very recently was Secretary and a Board Officer of BARS.

February 4th Meeting Location:
BARS meets the first Wednesday of every month at 7:00 PM. This month we are pleased to announce a new location which we will use for both the February 4th and March 4th meetings. As discussed at our December meeting, we have been looking for a possible future meeting venue and we agreed to a 2 month trial at St. Michael’s Parish Center, 90 Concord Road, Bedford MA 01730.

Here are the details:
Date: Wednesday, February 4, 2015
Time: 7:00 – 9:30 PM
Where: St. Michael’s Parish Center, 90 Great Road, Bedford MA 01730
Room: 120 in the Parish Center

Vehicles should be parked in the main parking lot; there are also a few unrestricted spaces on the side of the Parish Center. No parking allowed behind the rectory. No cars allowed in the courtyard leading up the Parish Center entrance.
